Short, because the service is: you send a photo of a card, and Preslab measures its centering.

An estimate is not a grade
An estimate is not a grade. Preslab is not affiliated with PSA, TAG, BGS, CGC or ACE. A result says how high the measured centering lets a card grade, under each company's published centering limits. It says nothing about corners, edges or surface, which also decide the grade. A grading company may read centering differently from Preslab, and may change its standards at any time. Decide whether to submit a card on your own judgement; Preslab is not responsible for a grade, a fee or a sale.
The service
- Preslab is free, one card at a time, and comes with no promise that it is always available or always right.
- Send only photos of cards you have in hand. Don't send photos of people, or anything other than a card.
- Don't try to overload the checker, get round its limits or the check that keeps robots out, or use it to measure cards in bulk.
Shared links
- A shared link shows the photo you took and its result to anyone who has the address.
- Share only your own photos. Don't use a shared result to mislead a buyer about a card's condition: it measures centering only, and says so.
- Any shared page can be reported, and Preslab can take one down at any time.
Names
PSA, TAG, BGS, CGC and ACE are the names of grading companies, used here only to say whose published limits a result is compared with. Card games are named only so you can say which game a card is from. Preslab is not connected with, or endorsed by, any of them.
